Two Churches United
On December 11, 1988, Bishop Lambert W. Gates, Sr., was installed as the senior pastor at Mt. Zion Apostolic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, succeeding the late Bishop James O. Franklin. After the death of his home pastor, Bishop Nemiah Smith, he was installed on October 7, 2007, as the senior pastor at Greater Apostolic Faith Temple in Detroit, Michigan. Often referred to as a “prophet-sharing” program, Bishop Gates’ distinction as one pastor in two locations attests to the call on his life for expansive ministry. Ongoing prayer, planning, and communication are the hallmarks that blend the two churches into a viable ministry that advances the Kingdom of God.
Mt. Zion Apostolic Church and Greater Apostolic Faith Temple are
two churches united under one ministry, one vision, and one leader!
